I recently picked up a new smartphone. It is the Dura Force Pro by Kyocera.
I wanted the most rugged, robust phone available. A local Verizon store had this model in stock and after checking out the specs, I decided I couldn’t do much better.
This phone is not just water resistant, it is water PROOF to a depth of 6 feet for 30 minutes. The ports are O-ring sealed to keep water out.
Another cool feature of this phone is it’s Sapphire shield screen technology. It is nearly impervious to scratches.
Additionally, this phone has no speaker. It produces sound through their Smart Sonic Receiver.
This phone has many more features and accessories that can add to it’s functionality like being able to use it as a radio and push to talk. Check out the Kyocera website for a more complete listing. The features mentioned above are what attracted me to this phone. If you want a worry free phone, one of the Kyocera models may fit the bill.
