As I'm currently in the dead center of my thesis writing phase, the smallest little distraction could cause an hour wasted on useless internet abuse.
And although I have developed some good tricks to overcome these temptations over the years of dealing with deep-focus-requiring tasks, there are always new things I discover.
The one I'm sharing with you today is simple, suitable music. I've used classic music, meditation music, nature sounds, white noise, and what have you.

I recently came across the Lo-Fi genre. And man I love it! Once turned on, time passes by without much distraction. Even something as obvious like going for a toilet break is something you forget! I knew of its existence, I just never tried Lo-Fi for doing deep-focus work.
There are many nice playlist out there on the various well known channels (soundcloud,spotify,youtube,etc.), but the one that I enjoy the most is the one below.
Also pretty nice is the typical artwork in these vids. Love it!
