Mexico trip

About 16 years ago, my wife got a jalapeño pepper lodged in her throat and she choked so badly that she was not breathing at all. Compounding the problem was the hot juices from the pepper irritating her throat. I did the Heimlich, I hit her on the back and had my fingers down her throat. Thankfully we got the pepper free and she was OK

Immediately she declared that she would “Never” eat in a Mexican restaurant again. A couple of years later we were planning a vacation for just the two of us. I left her at home with some travel magazines for her to choose a destination. I was very surprised that her choice was Cancun Mexico.

We had a great time and after a few days I was able to get her to eat some Pollo al carbon. Mexican food became one of her favorite foods since that day, steering away from the fresh jalapeños.

We went fishing on a small boat, snorkeling and visited the Mayan Ruins. Neither one of us are drinkers, so we enjoyed the food, sun, sights and each other.

It was great to spend all of this time with my favorite person on this planet. My best friend and wife.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I enjoyed sharing with you our time in Cancun. Lately I have been working in the USA and my family remains in the Philippines. This post is sort of nostalgic as I miss them greatly. I have a resolve in my heart, that my family and I are going to reunite soon and we are going to make many more memories together like this one.
