Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

So many people searching for answers and looking for the truth. Some, not knowing the difference take everything that is true and call it true. When Jesus says, “Sanctify them through your truth”, He is not referring to everything that is true. He is explicitly referring to the Word of God!

I took this photo yesterday with my Huawei Nova 2i. The beautiful Philippines!

The Word of God is a higher Truth than the things that are merely true. It is true I am over 6 feet tall, but this is not “Truth” that will set you free!

Only the Truth of the Word of God will set you Free!!!!!

Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Here again we can see that Jesus correlates “My Word” (verse 31) to “The Truth” (verse 32).

This Truth must be taken in context
This Truth must be taken as it was meant when it was written.
This Truth is not of private interpretation.
Truth will always and forever point you to Jesus

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

JESUS

The Only Way
The Only Truth
The Only Life

There are so many that are trying to add to or explain the scriptures, as if the scriptures were not enough. For me the 66 books of the Holy Bible are enough study for more than a lifetime. I have never seen one Word fail. I have found the Way, Truth and Life there. I have found all of the wisdom I will ever need there.

One famous preacher of our day that is trying to explain how Jesus walked on water. He explains it in such a way that he actually knows exactly the physics behind Jesus walking on water or how God heals people. For me I could care less, unless it is written in God’s Word. If it is not in the Word, it is possible it is true, but it is not Truth that will make a difference in our lives.

Jesus Quoted the Bible Old Testament books and authors.

Genesis, Isaiah, Deuteronomy, and the Psalms, plus many more. He referred to David, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jonah, Moses and appeared on the Mount of transfiguration with Moses and Elijah.

We all need to take note of some of the obvious lessons we can take from these facts.

If Jesus never quoted from your holy book is it Truth?
If it is only the Truth that will set us free, we better ensure our life is based on this Truth
Either Jesus was a lunatic and a liar, or He was and is the Son of God, and the only Way, Truth and Life and the only Way to the Heavenly Father.
