Our world is crazy sometimes. Many things happen for many reasons, but not all are racially motivated. Today I was looking at an item and this needed an accessory that the associate could not find. I could hear him frantically rummaging in the back. I called to him and told him it was ok that I would just like to look at the main item and I would find the accessory elsewhere. Immediately he took offense and said that I would be able to look at the item, but I was not going to disrespect him. For me this was shocking and I explained there was not disrespect intended. But he would not back down on his claim.
*I noticed that since I have been driving a wealthy man’s type of car that people treat me differently. And usually they assume things about me that simply are very inaccurate.^
I think if we single out any one group, we are already making things worse and making the divide between people of different skin colors. We are all of one race! The human race!
All people deserve respect and decency from one another. The best way to reach this goal is to look at everyone equally. The past is behind us and what we have is now.
Also those of you who know me, have you sensed or seen any prejudice in me?
