Hello Hivers
My name is Marvellous Amanam Johnson but I prefer to be addressed as Marvellousmiracle Johnson. After about 28 years of my life, marriage has given me a new name; Marvellous Israel and I came up with a short version of the name so, it's 'Marvis'. Yeah!馃檵 You've finally come in contact with a lady with such a complicated naming pattern馃ぃ but not to worry, whichever of the three names you'll choose to address me with, I will be glad to respond.
I hail from Eket Local Government Area; my tribe is Ibibio in Akwa Ibom State which belong to the South South region of Nigeria. I bet you would love it if you could have a visit to this part of the world anytime soon.
My birthday is on 29th of January; I'm currently studying English and Literary Studies in the University of Uyo. Combining marriage and work with academics is really not an easy task but I am giving in my best to balance everything. I belong to a very large family. I've got a mum and eight siblings making us nine. My siblings have got kids and this makes my mum a grandmother to 13 grandchildren already so, if we go for a family reunion or get together, especially in festive seasons like Christmas, we end up being a large family of about 28 people including in-laws. So, you see why I said it's a large family?
I lost my father when I was just 3 months old some 28 years ago so, I really don't know what it feels like to have a 'Daddy'. All I've got is a loving and caring mother who sacrifices everything for the sake of her children.
I love being alone most times and this makes me mistaken for a solitude fellow but in the actual sense, I love to have people around me, especially if they are like-minded. My quiet disposition scare people away from me though but I must say that if you successfully have me as a friend, I won't like to let you go away.
I'm sure you would like to know more about me by now 馃馃馃馃. Alright, I'll also like to tell you more. I find red, white and black colour attractive so, I prefer to go on any of these colours on an official outing. White, if it's church service, black if it's a business meeting and red if it a party. My best outfit are nice length gowns of any decent design. It makes me feel more relaxed, comfortable and free. I don't like being stocked up in clothes.
My best quote is "Stay strong, stay positive and never give up!" I have strong push to raise disciplined, sound minded and excellent young people and I am already reaching out to them through my foundation called "Youngsters World Initiative." Teaching is my passion and I look forward to having an institution of learning someday, also anticipating to be a great employer soon.
Don't get tired of me already, I have more to tell you. I think I am more introverted than extroverted but I try really hard to come out of my shell whenever I have to. I write more than I talk and I often catch myself thinking over and analyzing a thing, situation or person so deeply than it appears. I love to know the implication of things before time and I don't like surprises.
Trust me, I am hardworking. Though I do not like cooking, I cook everything peculiar to my culture except one particular traditional meal I have not cooked before since I was born. I love children a whole lot, maybe because I am the last child of the family. I look forward to having my babies soon.
Since I already got a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), I teach and for the records, I have taught in about 4 privately owned schools in my state capital. I love making friends with my pupils and students and a number of them call me "Mummy" instead of "Teacher" because I make them feel comfortable around me and I do not just solve their academic problems but also give them some level of phycological support. I love the teaching profession.
Alongside teaching, I bake a few snacks like the Nigerian buns, doughnuts, fish and egg rolls, pancakes and chin chin. This has become my side-hustle because I make supplies to my customers on pre-order.
I haven't undergone a training on baking yet but I got to know how to prepare most of these snacks from videos on YouTube.
MY HOBBIES AND TALENT
I love to write. Yes, I write a whole lot. I find time to write every little idea that runs through my brain anytime. I write short stories, poems and plays. Some are always fictions while others are my real life experiences. It is always funny to my husband when I hand him a written documentary of events that took place whenever he returns from his travels.馃ぃ馃ぃ馃ぃ
Though I haven't published any of my written works yet, I post most of them on Facebook, titling it "Fictitious Corner". I love listening to music, basically gospel music and I sing a lot when I am in church, I always love to be on the microphone. Did I tell you I love seeing movies? Yes, I do! I love to view romantic movies, inspirational movies and cartoons a lot. You don't expect me to love action movies, do you? I have lots of contents in my collections to share with you here because I do a lot of creative thinking and writing.
HOW I DISCOVERED HIVE
I got to know about Hive platform while eavesdropping over a discussion of my friend @mhizerbee with other girls in school, she actually thought I wasn't going to be interested but I told her with my full chest that I was supper interested in joining the platform and the journey down here hasn't been an easy one.
I have taken time to go through the group and I am being enthusiastic right now. It's really convincing that I will learn lots of new things here as well as share my interesting ideas and content here. Thank you for having me. I love you all鈾ワ笍鈾ワ笍鈾ワ笍
