What is the meaning of Meghalaya? It means “abode of clouds”. This state is located in the Northeastern region of India. Meghalaya is a high rainfall area. Subtropical forests and the variety of life are found there. It is surrounded by Assam in the north and east and Bangladesh in the south. The western border of Meghalaya is built by the River Brahmaputra. This is interesting place for travelers, mainly for nature lovers.
