Heb. 11:1-40
But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
AIM: Faith is a trust, strong belief, unquestioning confidence put in God, it is also having faith in what God says, so believers need to know that importance of faith and how to work with faith in their Christian race, so faith is one of the strongest believers tools without which no man can please God.

- WHAT IS FAITH:
Heb 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Here, faith is substance of what we hoped or asked for. A substance is what we can touch or handle. Therefore, whenever we pray for something it is important we have faith that we have received what we have asked for. In this case, faith is a substance, because as you ask in faith,you are already believing that you have gotten what you asked for.
Now if you are asked to physically present what you pray or asked for which by faith you say you have received, immediately show your faith to whoever asked you because faith is the substance of things hoped for knowing that your God never fails in His promises and spoken word.
How do you show your faith to them, by your knowledge, behavior and tangible results from f good work show me your work and I will show my faith.
2.HOW FAITH COMES:
By hearing the word of God
Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh hearing, and hearing by the word out f God.
- The Greek words which translates to "hearing" suggest continuous hearing. As we keep hearing faith keeps coming. It is true what we continuously hear, we eventually believe, so faith comes by constantly hearing the word of God. Only the word of God can give us Faith.
When your heart is filled with the word of faith, your mouth will speak it Matt 12:24. So take advantage of every opportunity to hear the word of God, through teaching, tapes, church services, special training programmes and through the media. - By contant engagement of your faith; you must constantly engage your faith, that is you must put your faith to work. Faith must be engaged in order for it to stay and grow because faith is highly mobile, faith can leave you when it is not fed. Now with what do you feed faith with? By the word of God, faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God. Faith must be put in use, less it dies James2:20.
Again, how do you engage your faith? By taking steps that are prompted by faith resulting from the word of God you heard, acting on the word you heard,which is putting the word in practical use.
Joshua and Caleb said let us go at once and possess the land the Lord has promised, for we are well able but the people said we are not abl, we are like grasshoppers in the eyes of the enemies Numbers 13:30-33.
In every situation no matter what happen don't give up, hold on and refuse to count yourself out as you hold on God's faith.
3. IMPORTANCE OF FAITH TO BELIEVERS:
If there is anything a believer needed that us important is Faith, so the importance of faith in a believers life can not be overemphasized.
(a). The believers or righteous shall live by faith. Heb 2:4
(b). Believers are justified by faith Rom 4:5
(c). Anything that is not done or does not come from faith is sin to the believers. Rom 14:23
(d). Believers must live by faith and not by sight 2 cor. 5:7
(e). Faith enables believers to please God. Heb 11:6
(f) Believers live by faith in the Son of God Gal 2:20
The disciples know the importance of faith hence, they said in Luke 17:5,increase our faith; A request without compromise the disciples made with faith. What about you today name your price about faith in God, and of God will give it to you through Jesus Christ.
By faith God created the world and all that is in it. So believers should know that the power to create and destroy is in the world of faith. Faith isvthe believer's greatest tool. Faith and believe goes together, he who have faith believes.
Carriers of faith are achievers of the (impossible) impossibility made with faith. Faith is what makes impossible to become possible, by faith the greatest barriers are broken faith and victory are synonymous.
Faith in a believers life is victorious living no matter what obstacles that may come your way.
