Matthew 10:32
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my father which is in heaven.
AIM: This is amined at letting Believers know the importance of Evangelism as Christians and as part of the great commission Christ laid down for every new creation man.
It is very sad that out of ignorance, people still openly worship the devil and his cohort agents, after all that Christ went through in his redemptive work to set man free and reconciled man to God. Even with testimonies and preachers preaching on radios, Television, on campuses, Church and all around us today.

(1). Evangelism is the act of preaching the true gospel of Jesus Christ, under the inspiration, guidance and authority of the Holy Spirit; to convert and win the sinners (unrefined souls) to ;(MK. 16:15-16, Matt 10:6-8) This means that evangelism is a divinely and scripturally ordained commission on every believers and it is in two fold, first to evangelise the gentile world and secondly to edify the body of Christ that is the Church.
Eph 4:11-13
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
(2). Evangelism is an act of God, commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ to every believer; Isa 6:8-9, Lk. 24:46-48, Isa 53:3-6. So, this message must be carried out and as many that received this message shall be saved;Rom 4:25, John 3:3-11.These must one explain to the listeners when you are out for evangelism.
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
(3). A preacher of the gospel must not only bear the name Christian, but fruits of righteousness must be seen and come out of him, he must be one having Christ in him and been ruled by the spirit of God. A preacher must be one who have that vital and personal experience with God; Rom 10:15. A preacher must be one who is able to enter the throne room of God boldly in prayers without any sense of guilt or sin consciousness or inferiority complex, with assurance of result of prayers offered;
Psalm 126:6
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
(4). Evangelism visitation is a ministry of its own and the most important and most neglected by believers today. This is the actual proclamation of the word of God to the helpless world which is aim at winning souls through the gospel and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit through born again to the unbelievers with the given of undiluted word of God, which is geared at winning souls or gathering men to the Assembly of God's people (the church). There are so many around you still contemplating where to have true fellowship with God, because of so many preachers and churches with divers doctrines and polluted gospels; so brothers and sisters, somebody is waiting for you to be rescued from the hands of the devil.
Acts 10:42
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
(5). House Care Fellowship also brings about growth and a means of evangelism, when members in certain area gather themselves for house care fellowship those around that meeting point, when they see the light of God in the gathering, when invited for the house care fellowship through that medium will join the person. There are some convincing elements that will tell such invitee to join you to church.
To be an evangelist or one who peaches the word,you must note that God call to serve us not for self exhortation or a political privilege or economic prosperity; but a call to remove souls under the spiritual prison of Satan to the Kingdom of God and life everlasting. Obey and be saved.
