That's a cute story. I kind of chucked at the end.

It was a bit sharp of a plot turn when it switched from observing a duck to a cute guy.

The incident with the duck was particularly amusing and they laughed about it as they made their way up the majestic stairs and into the Grand Gallery.

"Did you see his face?!" Clara gleefully whispered to Kelly. "We were the only people who even noticed!"

Reading on for a while I thought Clara was talking about the duck. It feels like at that spot the story needs a linking sentence. Something like ... Clara gleefully whispered to Kelly showing with her eyes at the snappy looking gentleman.
