I used to work in a mortgage company doing programming in risk management. The company was specializing in putting together packages of loans for resale. Such packages could have some number of "good" loans and some amount of "not as good" loans. There were, however, some rejects that that didn't pass the investor criteria. So I adopted this model for heavenly business. It was just fun exercises in modeling. I don't think it emulates some real process. )))
