Ok so i have been mucking about with a bit of design work for a livery set for a drift car:
While the specs are being designed on the S15 we will be transferring the same designs over to all drift cars on the "team" which is still being put together at the moment. We have a "torn" look happening on the vinyl design at the moment, but im open to something different as well such as tribal, flames, or anything else really. at the moment im just mucking about with whatever i feel like, but i hope to get some feedback from the "team" and anyone else who wants to throw their 2c in.
Im thinking the graphics will be the same as well as placement, but the colour will be interchangeable so it can suite the color of the car itself, cause lets be real here we drifting and resprays are expensive, lolz.
i know it looks like there are some "big gaps" in the design, but these areas are left open for any sponsor logos which we may be picking up along the way. Many drift cars manage to get local business sponsorship which contribute cash money, services, products, or discounts in exchange for advertising on the vehicles. What it comes down to is that motorsports is expensive and in you can counter that cost by any means you are gonna take it.
The benefit of doing it as a team, besides looking hella cool, is that it is far more appealing for sponsors to have their outlay multiplied by x amount of vehicles... so everyone is a winner :)
As i find out which sponsors are on board i will be filling the blanks on the car and see how it goes, but for now this is how it stands for the first concept work. will keep the updates coming if things change, but let me know what you think as im always open for creative input on these matters and can put it to the team for discussion.
