★THE AWESOME EXPRESSION OF JOY IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF TRUE PRAISE AND WORSHIP.
The Bible says, the joy of the Lord is our strength, Nehemiah 8:10. When I experienced the awesome and joy filled session of praises and worship lead by the MCGI chorale, I truly experienced the joy of the Lord. I understood what it means in reality to enter the court of the Lord with thanksgiving in our hearts and into His presence with joy. I saw the array of perfect order in display of dance and worship unto the Most High.
Our God is great and worthy to be praised. Many of us don't actually understand that praising God out of a true heart brings quick answers to our prayers. The Bible says, God inhabits the praises of His people. Now is God inhabits your praises, how will He co-habit with your sicknesses and afflictions? Absolutely no! So, children of God, let us not only enjoy the wonderful experience in praises and worship as display by the choir. Let us in our lives make it a habit in praising and worshipping God every where we are - whether in office, or at home, or at work. Let praises be our mode of relaxation and refreshment. There is nothing like staying in God's presence through praises.
In true appreciation, I commend the MCGI choir for such a well tailored presentation. Thanks a lot for the wonderful instrumentals and the choreographers. You organization and preparations absolutely display in the flow of the worship sessions. This not only make the service awesome but it stirred the hearts of most of us the desire for true worship.
John 4:23-24 (KJV) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
★THE MANNER OF DRESSING AMONG CHRISTIANS
Bro Eli Soriano reminded us that the doctrines of Jesus Christ have not at anytime become obsolete. Till Christ return, those doctrines are still our way of life as followers of Jesus, Matthew 28:20
He then pointed to us that our manner of dressing, as taught in the Bible, is not obsolete. Christians should dressed with sobriety, shamefacedness, and with moderation.
1 Timothy 2:9-10 (KJV) In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Our dressing should be in modest apparel. Modest mean it should be simple, reflecting humility. This doesn't mean we should wear dirty clothes and look unkempt. No! Neatness and cleanliness is synonymous with holiness. Be tidy and neat. Demons are the ones who inhabit dirtiness. So, as a Christian don't be dirty. Wear beautiful neat clothes but not sexy looking. Not made in such a way as to attract worldly affection. Not for extreme recognition or popularity. There should be a difference between the dress code of a Christian and that of an unsaved person on the street. Let the fear of God in us be reflected in the way we dress. Let us dress to glorify God not to advertise ourselves.
★ THE WAY WE SPEAK AND MAKE COMMENTS EVEN ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Bro Daniel Razor brought to our notice that speaking is an important part of our lives therefore our speaking should be in accordance with the doctrines of Jesus. Our words should make for peace, it shouldn't engender strive. We should watch our words careful so as not to cause offense. He made us understand that the world today is full of many contentions and wars. And most of those wars and contentions are caused by the comments people make especially on social media. So, as christians, we should not speak to cause fight and contentions. We should speak peaceably.
Colossians 4:6 (KJV) Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Our speech should be seasoned with salt. Salt makes the food tasty and desirous. So our words should not be offensive. Salt also has preservative power. Our words should tend towards healing the minds and preserving our society.
Bro Daniel explained to us that we should be watchful with our words because the Bible says, men will give account of every idle word they speak, Matthew 12:36, 37. Also he reminded us that according to the Scriptures in Matthew 12:37, by our words we shall either be justified or condemned. Still told bottle his point, Bro Daniel also referenced Ecclesiastes 5:2, telling us that our words should be few. For in a multitude of words, there is sin, Proverbs 10:19.
