Happy New Month 🎉! I'm so excited for May and can't wait to see all the beautiful things it has in store for me.
April was a bit of a bumpy ride, I had exams, life challenges, and everything in between, but overall, it was a good and memorable month.
I wrapped up my first semester exams on the 15th of April. After the exams, I decided to stay in school for the holiday since it was just for one week. A few days after my exams, I fell ill, I was so weak I could barely move from my room to the kitchen to get food. That morning, I called my big sister to tell her I wasn't feeling too good. The symptoms started the night before, I initially thought I had some allergies because I was sneezing nonstop and my nostrils were blocked.
With my symptoms, she prescribed Loratidine and vitamin C, but I didn't see any improvement the day after, so I called her the next day. She prescribed some malaria drugs for me.
I think I've said this before: I often stay outside late to get a good network reception, which definitely contributed to me getting malaria again,n, lol.
Usually, I only take hot showers during the last day of my period, but the next day, I was so cold that I had no choice but to bathe in warm water.
After taking my bath, I went out to get some medications, and after that, I stopped by a friend's place to say hi. He was so caring and thoughtful, he even lent me his Pocket wifi to use at home. After taking my meds, I felt completely better a few days later.
I've been making progress on a song I've been writing for months now. Honestly, it's been a really challenging journey since I don't play any musical instrument, making it really hard to come up with a tune. However, I was so happy to finally create a melody for the chorus and I also completed verse 1, the hook, and the chorus. This week I hope to start working on verse 2 and finish it soon...
And yeah, I'll be going to my cousin's place today to work on the song better. He's in town and has a keyboard so yay!!!
oh yeah, I also made some crochet scrunchies for my friends. April was indeed beautiful as colorful
I carried some books from my friend's place, hopefully, I get to read them before the end of next semester
At the beginning of April, I had a cake order which I successfully delivered. I was so glad my customer loved her cake ☺️. I also made another cake for church.
A week ago, a friend reached out to request a cake for her mom's 66th birthday. I was so excited to make it. And thankfully, the cake turned out beautifully, and it was so delicious. Everyone at the party, including her mom and dad, loved it. I made a red velvet and vanilla cake, which I prepared the night before the birthday. I was pretty stressed, so I didn't take any pictures during the process, but here's the final result. It was a 10-inch tow-layer cake
At the party, someone asked what the color purple stood for 😂😂. I laughed because I was just starting my baking business; of course, I didn't know what it meant 😂. I was asked to use any color I liked, and the first one that came to my mind for a 66-year-old birthday cake was purple.
On April 30th which was yesterday, I made some delicious butter cookies. I had planned to save them for today, but my siblings had other plans, Hahaha.
Today is the 1st of May and I couldn't be more grateful to God for everything. May May Make Me Merry 🤗
That sounded too weird right, i think it's genius 😂😂
Well Happy New Month 🤗
