I used to interpret dreams and read tarot, then I realized that my ancestors were giving me information about our lives as colonized people and that I was selling those bits of information (to the colonizers) for a few bucks.

Just last night I had a dream about my and people from our neighborhood who were enraged at violence in our homes, the police, the kids who were stuck as victims of society, "what are we going to do about it."

I was given a voice to speak although I feel like I don't have one, and I recited the same answer I always do: We must buy land back and form our own self havens. We must learn how to work the earth and learn to live from the earth like our ancestors did.

Your dream you linked reminded me and took me back to that reality. You hugging and loving on your family, and then instead getting in a car and having your legs be out was significant of feeling like loving your family cuts you off at the legs.

You and your family having to go uphill represents your constant uphill battle for survival.

The man stealing from you and your aunties being ok with it is shows how you aren't ready to see the world from a tribal perspective of everything belongs to everyone - something your aunties get.

Him only getting a few things shows that if we all only take the food and goods that we need then there is enough for all.

I was reminded last night that I have goals that I have put off. I have my home in the city, and me and my kids are city people, there is no way around it, but I can make it so that my kids are more connected to the earth than I am, so my grandchildren become more connected to the earth than me, and then together we can undo these laws and governments that keep us in control.

If I buy a two acre ranch and pay it off, and everyone in my family buys two acre lots and pay them off, then we have bought back our own land, and can be on our own terms. If it gets big enough we can become a sovereign nations.

Its a dream I know, but isn't that what we are discussing.

Or maybe I have been reading too many YA distopic novels, I am reading The Testing Series last night.
