Orion 3

Another day, another planet. After a long run of no luck, we appear to have found a two headed coin. We haven't even landed any ships on our last find yet, but now we have another source of raw materials. It's especially rich in Ore from what we can tell trying to decide the sensor data. It's a welcome change from the monotony of a blank screen.
Each planet we find makes space seem a little less lonely somehow. I'm still getting used to the idea that this life, hopping from planet to planet, is now home. But it's happening little by little. I didn't even realize it at the time, but some time around day 80, I stopped marking time in terms of Earth days, hours, and minutes. Those terms don't mean anything out here. All that matters is my next shift; the next discovery. Maybe some day I'll find a new place to settle down, but for now, we keep driving towards the outer ring, always looking for another planet, or whatever else we might uncover. But always it's the discovery that drives us. Discovery is everything. It's all I've got.
