**Spoilers below - but it's been several years by now, so you probably already watched this if you're going to.

It's taken me a long time to get through The Defenders. Partly because I've been busy, but partly because it just didn't draw me in like DD or Luke Cage did. In theory, if you have 4 characters that people like (well, 3.25), if you put them together it should be awesome. But this is one case where the end product is less than the sum of its parts.

I loved that there was some payoff on some groundwork that had been laid in previous seasons, like the huge hole, and the five fingers of the Hand. The first part of the season was really good, where we were catching up with all the characters, and seeing how their storylines are starting to converge.

However, once the characters all came together it started to fall flat. I think it was their interpersonal interactions that came across clumsy. But it wasn't all bad. I am interested to see where they take some of the things that happened this season. Iron Fist must be way more powerful than they've let on so far. If he's the key to all these earth-shattering events, there must be more to him than a powerful glowing hand.

*Big Spoiler ahead

Speaking of hands, I'm a little surprised they cut off Misty's arm. I hope they keep going with it, but if Tony Stark is in the MCU and not in the Netflix Marvel Universe, I'm curious where her bionic arm is going to come from.

Next up is Punisher. I'm guessing I'm in for more violence than I'd prefer, but I think it's necessary for the character.
