I normally don't like colorized silver. However, I have been known to make exceptions. Above is the back side of my latest silver bar pickup. This view is more like what I typically go for. But in this case, it was the front side that grabbed me.
And it wouldn't have happened without steemit. 6 months ago I saw this post by @stokjockey. I filed it away mentally, making a note to pick these up if I ever saw them, and didn't think to much more about it. But the other day at the LCS I saw gladioli sitting in the generic bin, and knew I had to buy it. Given the relative rarity, age, and hand crafted nature of this bar, it was an obvious buy, and a great addition to my stack, even if it is a bit of a branch out from what I normally buy. I think it was an excellent pickup, and without steemit, I likely would have passed it by. Thanks to @stokjockey for the heads up.
