What was still redacted
The New York Court of Appeals had ruled that civilian 911 callers had a privacy interest, so their voices were generally removed or beeped from the public versions (families of identified deceased callers could get unredacted copies privately).

The August 2006 release also included 10 additional civilian 911 calls from inside the towers. Those civilian voices were redacted, except roughly the first 4 minutes of Melissa Doi’s call from the 83rd floor of the South Tower. That excerpt had already been played in the Zacarias Moussaoui trial, so it was released with her voice. The rest of her longer call has only the dispatcher.⁠NYTimes
