Ionel Dinu used a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model to show that two vibrating membranes in a fluid aether attract each other when they vibrate at opposite phases and repel when they vibrate in the same phase, thus providing a mechanical explanation for the electrostatic "like charges repel and opposite charges attract" observations.
