In this video I go over how to solve areas between curves by switching the functions to be functions of y instead of x. In some instances this makes evaluating the integral much easier so it is important to understand this concept!

From my earlier videos I solved the area between curves bounded by writing the curves as functions of x

But sometimes it is best to treat the regions by regarding x as a function of y:

Sometimes it is easier to write the functions as xR and xL indicating left and right.
