Example where the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus does NOT apply!
In this video I go through a very useful example to show that you can't always apply the fundamental theorem of calculus in determining the integral of a function. This is very important to understand and in this example I illustrate that, since the fundamental theorem is only applied for functions that are continuous on the closed interval a to b. Thus it is important to check for this before determining the integral of any given function. You may get a question like this in your calculus exam so make sure you watch this!
