China's Flying Mountains
The Tianzi Mountains in Zhangjiajie in the Hunan province of China are made up of marble towers spread over an area of about 70 kilometers. The towers, each hundreds of meters high, are home to pine forests. The site is also referred to as the Avatar Mountains because of its resemblance to the Flying Mountains in James Cameron's "Avatar" movie.
