Konya Aziziye Mosque
This structure is one of the last Ottoman works made with cut breast stone. Since the mosque built by Sheikh Ahmed between 1671 and 1676 was burned down, today's work was built in the name of Pertevniyal Valide Sultan, the mother of Sultan Abdülaziz in 1867. The mosque, which was built in Turkish baroque style and whose windows are larger than its doors, draws attention to two minarets with three domes sitting on six marble columns, with pedestals with a fountain, and a spacious dome.
Type of tourism: faith/cultural tourism

Mevlana
When you ask most of the people in Turkey or who have been to Konya before, the place that reminds you of Konya is Mevlana.
Mevlana is the place of Mevlana convent which is used as a museum today. While it was the Rose Garden of the Seljuk Palace, the garden was gifted to Mevlana's father by Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat. Much later, Mevlana and his father were buried under this green dome. This architectural work was built by the architect of the Seljuk period, Architect Tabrizli Bedrettine. There are many valuable works in this museum. The sophisticated atmosphere of the museum has attracted many tourists and there are still intense visits

Mevlana

Konya history
Friends, if you have paid attention in this narrative, I am always talking about historical regions. The reason for this is that Konya has hosted a very deep-rooted history.
There is a lot of evidence that there was a settled life in this region even in prehistoric times. Çatalhöyük, which was discovered close to the center of Konya, is the most important proof of this. Çatalhöyük is the oldest and most advanced Neolithic settlement ever discovered. During the excavations carried out in the region, findings belonging to Phrygian, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman settlements were found. It has become the center of many cultures and civilizations. Thus, the place where you step in the city is full of history. Therefore, the province of Konya generally emerges with faith and cultural tourism.

Konya tarihi

Finally, I would like to leave you alone with the photographs that entered my frame while I was wandering around Konya. When you walk in the city of Konya, you will see what landscapes and beauties await you and that you have to walk every inch of this city to discover it, and experience both that history and the bustle of the city. You can find most of the features you are looking for in this city where both historical streets and urbanization and modernization are intertwined. Even on unfamiliar streets, it is possible to come across a historical building. I hope you like my sharing. Stay happy. Goodbye
