My temporary cat boss (my dad’s cat is staying with while my father is away) has two sides. One - “pet me now and put away your phone”. I like the way he completely submits his underside and throat. Full trust and feeling secure.
The other side I have to battle. Twice today did he jump on my kitchen table and pushed things down - one bowl broken. He is trying this to convince me to give more food. The problem is he has no self-restrain and will eat everything, to the point of literally throwing up. And I am sure the behaviour is meant to bring my attention- both incidents with the kitchen table where while I was nearby, but too far to stop him. On the other hand, he was alone at home for 13hrs on Saturday and almost 10hrs on Sunday - he was a good boy, nothing pushed down, my apartment clean as if the cat wasn’t there.
