Today’s photos might be the most spectacular of my whole southwestern US trip. The Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona is absolutely gorgeous. We did an hour tour and were mesmerised.
The afternoon was a cruise on Lake Powell to the very same Antelope Canyon and then a long drive to the Grand Canyon.
We stopped at Hwy 89 Yummy Shack - which was indeed a shack by the road. Don’t be misled by the initial impression - the Navajo taco and burger cooked by two Diné women (the proper name of the Navajo nation) were fabulous.
Finally, we got our first taste of the Grand Canyon, right before sunset. We will be hiking along the south rim tomorrow.
