These are the photoshoots I did today for the Hyacinth I got the other day. Their blooms are of different colors and the aroma is so strong, one could faint at its scent. This would give a room that lovely smell, but I would place this outside in the balcony of the flat since I kind of have an allergy for such aromatic flowers. If I am exposed to such beauties and its smell, I would have a runny nose later on..My favorite color is the lighter shades of violets and white just like in my images. Of course other colors such as all white and pink, blue are also available.
Hyacinthus is a small genus of bulbous, spring-blooming perennials. They are fragrant flowering plants in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Scilloideae and are commonly called hyacinths /ˈhaɪəsɪnθs/. The genus is native to the area of the eastern Mediterranean from the south of Turkey through to the northern part of Israel, although naturalized more widely.
In such small container, they can be given as a gift to ladies in your circle of friends. Very ornamental particularly in offices. Do not throw away hyacinths after flowering, because they can easily be replanted for the next Spring. When the flowers withered, cut its stalk... do not water the bulb anymore as the bulb might rot. Simply wait when the leaves are brown. Do not cut the leaves with the stalk of the flower, since the foliage are the ones that gather energy for the the next planting season. You can do the same if you´ve planted them outdoors. Let the bulb dry completely , then store in a cool dark but dry place until the next Fall. The same as in tulips, the process is the same. When Fall comes, you are ready to replant the bulbs again and in next Spring you will have nice scented blooms.
