Lately, I've been having these thoughts about what things I would do differently if I could time travel. Well, personally, nothing much other than to have gotten on the cryptocurrency train earlier. With that settled, I have actually had thoughts about what how things would have been for the Humans if some things never happened.
Before going deep into this, I understand there's an ideology that regardless of the path we take in life, some events are destined to happen, it might just take longer, a different route or a different person. So I actually thought pretty hard about this.
Personally, the events I detest the most in life are war and oppression of any kind. Although I haven't witnessed any war in my life and oppression has always been around me. It has come in many forms and billions of people are still facing that globally. War on the other had has taken the life of billions than we could ever imagine.
If we were to search on Google for events that changed the world today, we'd see a long list of wars, revolutions, assasinations and attacks. Some of these events date as far as a 500 B.C. but still haunt nations till date. Many can only wish they never happened.
Well, the truth is that there has been so many atrocities that have been committed in the world in the past 1000 years than some of us ever know and I would direct the ability of time travel to this era.
Well, for starters, I would stop bondage and oppression and let freedom prevail in the world. Freedom of speech, movement and equal rights to everyone. I understand lack of true freedom in so many parts of the world resulted in many atrocities like slavery, oppresion nd wars. If only people had their freedom and equal rights to living a normal life like anyone else, Life would've been different and better for all regardless of their race, religion, tribe and gender. There's still agitation for true freedom all over the world till this day.
Secondly, I'd find a way to stop every war that had ever happened. After reading and watching some many war related articles, I believe there would have been a way to stop every war. It hurts to know what humans (the masses and young soldiers,) who knew nothing about wars went through simply because the "big dogs" wanted it to happen. I wish they never happened and resources were channelled in the right directions for the development of mankind and not destruction.
There are still a bunch of minor events I wish I could change, but this could get very complex. Fee free to share your thoughts on as well and let me know what things you would change if you could time travel.
