Un saludo y un abrazo compañeros de la comunidad. Hoy quería dejarles mi participación en el con concurso de costura para tu Barbie.
Me gusta mucho coser y poco a poco voy aprendiendo más. Por medio de vídeos, consejos de mi mamá, práctica y error he creado un par de cosas cosidas a mano y por ello me animé a realizar un atuendo para Barbie para participar en el concurso.
También soy crochetera, en el tejido tengo un poco más de práctica pero vi el concurso a última hora y al ser Domingo no pude salir a comprar hilos de tejer. Así que, como no pude utilizar el crochet en esta ocasión, decidí hacer una prenda con costura a mano.
Le pedí a mi mamá algunos pedazos de tela que tenía guardados, ella es costurera, y me dejó utilizar alguno de los que tenía en una bolsa llena de distintas telas. Así que revisé la bolsa para escoger una tela para utilizar en el traje, hasta que vi una roja con la que decidí trabajar. Pensé inmediatamente en crear una barbie bombero, así que puse manos a la obra
Busqué guías en mi ropa, un suéter y un pantalón, para ver los patrones y recrearlos a pequeña escala. Marqué y recorté en la tela las formas que necesitaba para hacer las prendas de mi Barbie y empecé a pensar como se debían unir para que quedaran bien.
Una vez descubrí como darle bien la forma al suéter y el pantalón empecé a coser por las orillas, las piernas del mono para luego unirlas y lo mismo con las mangas y el resto del suéter.
Ya al tener cosidas las dos prendas hice la cintura del pantalón con goma negra y decoré con una cinta de color amarrilo en el medio del suéter y la parte baja de las piernas del pantalón, esto haciendo una costura pequeña sobre esta. También hice una franelilla blanca con otro pedazo de tela, igual usando de guía una ropa de mi armario
A decir verdad no fué muy difícil, pero si algo tedioso hacer las prendas ya que a cada rato me equivocaba al coser. Tardé un poco más de lo que esperaba, pero lo hice en un solo día y creo que eso está bien. Al final no quedó como me lo imaginana, pero me gustó mucho el resultado y estoy satisfecha con mi trabajo.
Ella es Bárbara, mi Barbie, desde pequeña soñaba en ayudar a la gente. Se interesó siempre en programas de TV sobre rescatistas y cosas similares, lo que despertó en ella la pasión hacía la carrera de bombero. Una vez creció, ya con 25 años, pudo cumplir su sueño y se convirtió en un gran bombero. Bárbara ha salvado a cientos de personas ¡ella es increíble!, ella pudo ser quien quería y quería recordarles que "tu puedes ser lo que quieras ser"

A greeting and a hug fellow community members. Today I wanted to share with you my participation in the sewing contest for your Barbie.
I really like to sew and little by little I am learning more. Through videos, advice from my mom, practice and error, I have created a couple of things sewn by hand and that is why I was encouraged to make an outfit for Barbie to participate in the contest.
I'm also a crocheter, I have a little more practice in knitting but I saw the contest at the last minute and since it was Sunday I couldn't go out and buy knitting threads. So, since I couldn't use the crochet this time, I decided to make a garment with hand sewing.
I asked my mom for some pieces of fabric she had saved, she is a seamstress, and she let me use some of the ones she had in a bag full of different fabrics. So I went through the bag to choose a fabric to use for the suit, until I saw a red one that I decided to work with. I immediately thought of creating a firefighter barbie, so I got to work
I looked for guides in my clothes, a sweater and pants, to see the patterns and recreate them on a small scale. I marked and cut out the shapes I needed to make my Barbie's clothes on the fabric and I began to think about how they should be put together so that they fit well.
Once I figured out how to shape the sweater and pants well, I began to sew along the edges, the legs of the jumpsuit and then join them and the same with the sleeves and the rest of the sweater.
Once the two garments were sewn, I made the waist of the pants with black rubber and decorated with a yellow ribbon in the middle of the sweater and the lower part of the pants legs, making a small seam on it. I also made a white flannel with another piece of fabric, just using a piece of clothing from my closet as a guide.
To tell the truth, it wasn't very difficult, but it was rather tedious to make the garments since every time I made a mistake when sewing. It took a little longer than I expected, but I did it in one day and I think that's okay. In the end it did not turn out as I imagined, but I really liked the result and I am satisfied with my work.
This is Barbara, my Barbie, since I was little I dreamed of helping people. She was always interested in TV shows about rescuers and the like, which sparked her passion for a career as a firefighter. Once she grew up, already 25 years old, she was able to fulfill her dream and became a great firefighter. Barbara has saved hundreds of people. She is incredible! She could be whoever she wanted and she wanted to remind them that "you can be whatever you want to be."
