Never in my life did I think I would be honored enough to get to see an Aurora like this in New Zealand 😍
This timelapse was taken between 12pm and 3.30am along the Catlins Coast. Never have I cried, laughed, yelled, screamed, and felt such a strong sense of overwhelming raw passion and joy. Words do not even begin to describe how this night made me feel. I hope this video give you an idea as to how special it was for me.
To give you the back story, yesterday after studying the weather maps and Aurora forecast I made a last second decision to purchase a flight to Dunedin and then drive down to the Catlins in hope of capturing something like this. The risk paid off and I was more than rewarded.
