So the cat is out of the bag, so to speak. Most of us have been waiting to see what was going to be announced today, to find out, if today is the beginning of the end for STEEM. I for one, I'm looking forward to Dan's new project, and I hope its successful too. I don't think however, that there's any reason whatsoever that STEEM and TheVoice (apparently the name) can't coexist.
There's not a whole lot of details at the moment, but from what we know, EOS is going after a more twitter like experience with the platform they will be launching today. I think that's a smart move, more so because twitter has been struggling with keeping an even hand in both sides of the political voices, with targeted censorship being a common theme everyday.
Now it's important to note that the speculation of this launch is probably already priced into EOS at this very moment. Which is to say, that I would not be surprised if the old "buy the rumor, sell the news" play will happen tonight, right after the announcement is made.
Suffice to say, I won't be trading EOS tonight, I refuse to play the rollercoaster. But, I will be paying close attention to the announcements, and will be looking forward to playing with the platform when it launches.
