To say that I'm disappointed would be to lie about how I actually feel. I'm more than anything angry about this whole thing. I mean, nobody, not a single person can name a single instance that Wikileaks released falsehoods. I will repeat that again, since its inception, Wikileaks has never been debunked. So to me this latest move is a slap in the face of truth.
Honestly, I'm disgusted, I'm beyond annoyed with our weak politicians who talk about freedoms all day, who love to tout about how much they worship the constitution, only to look at the first amendment and spit on it.
Anyone who is advocating for Assange to be locked up is literally contributing to the death of democracy and accountability. Who is to hold the governments accountable? us? - You see we mere mortals are not equipped to fight the violence of government, and we can't pretend that we could if we needed to.
Our media, mainstream news, are literally nothing more than arms of the status quo. They are told what to say, and their very livelihood depends on how good they can fabricate consensus among us, the population.
It's not that hard to talk about unimplementable ideas, platitudes and general notions that outline the narrative of "we are the good guys, the others are not". But, it takes a real moral human being to stand against the tyranny that intends to silence truth.
