Hello friends!
I recently did a very fun hike with my wife that I want to share with you, Annie's Canyon Trail located in Solana Beach, CA. This is an easy loop trail with approximately 2.2 miles (3.5 Km) that can be done in about an hour. This trail is always open and has some amazing views. I started the hike at Solana Hills Trail, I parked my car at the top of Solana Hills Dr, and in this first picture you can see the start of the trail.

Recentemente eu fiz uma caminhada muito legal com a minha esposa que quero compartilhar com voces, Annie's Canyon Trail localizada em Solana Beach, CA. Esta é uma caminhada fácil com aproximadamente 3.5Km (2.2 milhas) que pode ser feita em mais ou menos uma hora. A trilha esta sempre aberta e tem vistas incríveis. Eu iniciei a caminhada na trilha de Solana Hills, e estacionei meu carro no alto da rua Solana Hills Dr, e nesta primeira foto voce pode ver o inicio da trilha.

The first part of the trail goes along Interstate 5, one of the main freeways here, as you can see in the next pictures. This freeway starts here in San Diego at the Mexican boarder, and goes all the way north to the boarder of Canada. It's pretty impressive to be right next to it, I don't remember walking so close to the freeway before.

A primeira parte da trilha é paralela a Auto Estrada 5, uma das principais auto estradas daqui, como voce pode ver nas próximas fotos. Esta auto estrada começa aqui em San Diego, na fronteira com o Mexico, e vai para o norte até o Canadá. É impressionante andar tão perto da auto estrada, eu não me recordo de andar tão perto assim antes.

Next you can see the entrance to Annie's Canyon Trail. This is where we start going towards the ocean and away from the freeway.

Now this is where you can choose the moderate or the difficult way to get to the viewpoint. The difficult way is only one way, you can't go back as it is very narrow, and once you get to the top, you go back down using the moderate way. This is definitely the most interesting part of the hike, this is what brought me here. It is not recommended to people with claustrophobia. But the rock formations are beautiful, I should have taken more pictures, but there were other people on the trail and I didn't want to keep stopping to take more pictures, as everyone behind me was waiting.

Agora é aqui onde devemos decidir se queremos subir pela trilha moderada, ou pela trilha dificil para chegar até o mirante. A trilha dificil é mão única, voce não pode voltar por ela pois é muito estreita, e quando voce chega ao topo, deve voltar usando a trilha moderada. Esta é definitivamente a parte mais interessante da caminhada, e foi o que me trouxe aqui. Não é recomendada para pessoas com claustrofobia. Mas as formações das rochas são lindas, eu deveria ter tirado mais fotos, mas tinha mais gente na trilha atras de mim, e eu não queria ficar parando o tempo todo para tirar fotos e deixar as pessoas esperando.

We finally got to the viewpoint at the top, and as you can see the views are amazing. We stayed there at the top for a little bit just contemplating before coming back down. Check it out!

In the back of this last picture you can see the San Elijo Lagoon, there are some other trails that goes near the lagoon. The lagoon is right between Interstate 5 (that you can also see in the picture) and Highway 101, that goes right along the beach. You can't see on the picture, but Cardiff State Beach is right there.

No fundo desta última foto, voce pode ver a Lagoa de San Elijo, onde tem outras trilhas próximas a lagoa. A lagoa fica localizada bem no meio da auto estrada 5 (que voce também pode ver na foto) e a estrada 101, que passa ao longo da praia. Voce não consegue ver na foto mas a praia de Cardiff esta logo alí.
