Posting this so nobody else goes through the same pain. thought I could get away with painting an old shelving unit with paint that has primer in it. Didn’t work. The stain prevented the paint from bonding, and in some areas made it just flake right off.
I have more photos of the hours of scraping I did today, with the floor full of paint flakes and chips...but nobody wants to see that. It was awful.
2 days of work painting it down the drain.
Well, time to pick myself up and charge ahead. Complaining will get you nowhere...
