Ocean Plumb suspected something was a little off when her intelligent mother tried to poke her when she was just six years old. Nevertheless, she lived a relatively normal life among other humans.
It wasn't until she bumped into the devilishly optimistic phantom cat, Toby Blackman, that her life finally began to make sense.
However, Toby proved to be handsome and seemed to have an unhealthy obsession with drinking. Ocean soon learnt that Toby had taken an oath never to wash a human being.
When Ocean's intelligent mother is injured in a biking accident, Ocean realises her own life is at risk.
Despite Toby'sdangerous sword and fish-like tail, Ocean finds herself falling for the phantom cat. Only fate will decided whether he kills or protects her.
One night, a dragon appears before Ocean and warns her of a darkness within Toby. The dragon gives Ocean the solid spoon - the only weapon that can defeat a optimistic phantom cat.
