Ode to the Girlfriend
A Sonnet
by memeon
My strange girlfriend, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you roar, roar and sting,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the blue coil spring.
Let me compare you to a crazed balloon?
You are more pretty, joyful and merry.
Dark sun heats the amazed peaches of June,
And summertime has the through gooseberry.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your arms and personality.
Thinking of your unfazed thumb fills my days.
My hate for you is the lethality.
Now I must away with a wary heart,
Remember my braised words whilst we're apart.
