I just read @calumam post about the change in reward split on proofofbrain. So I want to comment and give my opinion on that a little. Although sometimes what I say here cannot make people who read it understand what I mean. But I will try to force those who read this post to understand what I mean. 🤓

So is it true that the issue of changing the distribution of rewards from 50/50 to 75/25 on proofofbrain?

Before I continue my conversation I have some questions which I don't understand or maybe I missed some posts on the matter :

• What made proofofbrain want to change the reward distribution?
• Is the 50/50 reward split unfair to voters?
• Isn't 50/50 reward split fine right now?
• Isn't the reward split on hive also 50/50 and that works well?
• Why wouldn't proofofbrain want to use reward split like hive?

Yeah maybe this is a stupid question, but this is a question that comes out of my brain that is not well honed..lol... And maybe many also want to ask that and want to know all the answers to that question. But btw that question doesn't really matter just to extend my post...lol...So let's get to the important gist of my post. 🤓

Is this the absolute truth? Unfortunately, not.

Yeah for that we can understand that's because the Delegated Proof Of Stake (DPOS) mechanism.

But if it is my opinion about 50/50 reward split : if a platform that only wants to have quality content on their platform, they will definitely try to filter out all the quality posts and give a balanced reward to the author.

For the 50/50 reward split has that fair enough that the curators and authors benefit from each other, and the 50/50 reward split we have seen in several projects on the hive blockchain and that works well.

And my opinion for the 75/25 reward split: a platform that just wants to make delegators, curators, whales, whatever it is to grow fast on their projects by providing a not-so-balanced reward for author on their platform.

For the 75/25 reward split isn't that too fair that the author only gets 25 hard-earned ideas for writing, while the voters get 75 who just upvotes, these words seem a little harsh. And even though the whales have paid a lot of money to buy power, if we think about it logically it doesn't seem very fair enough.

However we only need to think about it like this. Without the author, we as curators cannot give upvotes and will not get rewards. And we as author, without curators we can't get the reward. So let's complement each other and provide benefits to each other. lol

I made this post not to compare proofofbrain with other platforms. But I just want to comment and give a little opinion, even though sometimes what I write can't make people understand what I mean..lol..and whatever changes are in proofpfbrain everyone wants the best for the future of proofofbrain.
