Another thing with Chosen One is that the creature chosen is random unless you use a card like Kadmos that sets it to be a specific one. You can't rely on a creature being it and getting buffed so cards that would be good as the Chosen One but bad standalone like Skeletal Hoplite has armor but its 1 strength makes it weak so you need to buff it to compensate.
This was also a problem with the creatures that gave buffs to Chosen One. Devout Cleric a 1m 1/3 gives the Chosen One +1/+1 but you don't want the Cleric to be the Chosen One.
