A few weeks ago I took part in the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt (GISH). It's usually a really fun and creative time to spend with friends making silly things and doing good for the world.
However, with my creeping depression and summer school stuff, this year I didn't do as much as I set out to. I did get my nephews to join me for a couple of items.
The first one was made by my nephew (10). The task was to make a stick figure out of sticks and this looks better than anything that I was going to make!
The next one is a rainbow composition by my niece (7). She was supposed to find one thing in our house for every color of the rainbow and arrange them into a pretty picture. She called the composition "I Don't Know, Something?"
And the final item I'm most proud of. It took us almost a whole day of shooting and editing. The task was to shoot something like a trailer or an ad for a superhero movie with pets and/or toys as the actors. My nephew gave the idea, I wrote the script. He directed and shot everything. I was the animal consultant and toy holder. Also, I did all the video editing. My husband helped with the practical effects.
And here it is, our Super-Cat movie, coming to your streaming service/movie theater some day, when my nephew becomes an actual director :)
