The new exhibition by American artist Carole A. Feuerman's, titled Monuments of Stillness was installed in June 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.
She is known as a founding figure of the hyperrealism (or superrealism) movement.
This piece, titled Monumental Quan is a
a painted bronze sculpture that features a swimmer in a lavender swimsuit and a metallic swim cap , balanced atop a reflective, deep-purple sphere.
The sculptures are a celebration of summer and will be on display until November.
The photos were taken right on Michigan Avenue near the Chicago River. In the background, the building with the clock is the Wrigley Building.
There are 10 sculptures in the exhibit and I will be sharing photos of several of them.
