My brother, aunts and uncles, the grandparents and my dad are all part of those long ago memories. They were all part of most of the traditions that we are still enjoying this Christmas season.
My grandma's recipes, my aunts tradition of the family singing Christmas carols together on Christmas Eve, my little brother's joy on Christmas mornings to find gifts from Santa under the tree, the old family ornaments that are hanging on my tree, and the memory of the sleigh tracks in the snow on the roof of the garage! To this day I still don't know how my uncle accomplished that!
So many precious memories of joy and love!
When we were kids my dad would take us out for a drive to see the Christmas lights. He always seemed to know where the most highly decorated neighborhoods were, and which businesses and factorys had the biggest displays of lights.
Sharing Christmas decorations and lights with you honors those treasured Christmas memories with my dad.
