My kids were here this past weekend and I had a great time watching my son learn to fly his new drone! My favorite thing that he could do with it was fly to places that I am unable to get to and broadcast the images that the Drone was viewing onto my TV screen live. He went down low along the banks of the creek and looked to see if he could spot any frogs in the watercress. And he went straight up 380 feet above my house and got some great video of my neighborhood.
This image is my riverfront. At the bottom left you can just see where the creek from the spring flows into the river. It was great fun to be able to sit here and hear the boat going up the river and see it on the TV screen.
Learning to fly on the maiden flight was a bit challenging with all of the tree branches around my house!

Having a drone would be a great way for me to go above the trees and see the sunrise or sunset.
I thought it would be fun to watch approaching storms, but was reminded that drones don't do well in the wind!
