@whatisnewI found this Black Swallowtail caterpillar on a fennel plant in the garden. And all summer I tried to get a photo of a black swallowtail butterfly and they always evaded me!
These caterpillars feed on several different plants in the carrot family, including Queen Anne's lace, celery, parsley, carrots, dill, parsnip and fennel.
I hope this one successfully became a beautiful butterfly!
