What a wonderful competition and I hope my Australian time-zone doesn't impact my ability in posting i.e. too early.
You're probably thinking, what kind of a weekend can you have in Melbourne with a 3.5yr old and a 9week old baby.
Well, don't be fooled as I'm not the kind of person that can sit still and I'm always on the move. My wife constantly tells me she gets tired just looking at me.
It was Friday night, I was winding down and in the process of pouring myself a lovely Irish Whisky (for those that don't know Alcohol is expensive in Australia we get taxed through the teeth for it) when @hidave gave me a mention in an awesome upcoming competition. So I decided to give it a crack.
Saturday in Melbourne was pretty crappy weather with rain forecast for the whole day. As we haven't been to our favourite Cafe in a while I started the day cooking bacon and eggs.
After that it was a pretty mundane run to the shops for our stock up as supplies were running low.
After that it was onto my new passion, music. I've always loved the beautiful sound a piano made but never had the opportunity to learn. Lockdown has given me the time to learn. I'll never forget the look on my wifes face when the delivery driver brought a piano.
It was one of absolute fear as she thought I'd drive her insane practising. But I got headphones and she can't even hear me.
I've learned to play fools rush in, listen to your heart, stand by me and a heap of other kid songs that my 3 yr old also practices with me.
It was then time for a quick gym session in the garage. Since gyms have closed I've bought equipment to train at home. Part of my role is in emergency services and I need to stay at the top of my game. I've been deployed into floods and fires and need to remain agile and strong.
I've also made my 3 yr old some toy weights with what I had laying around.
We retired for the night infront of the T.V watching a movie, lil miss 3 fell asleep on my shoulder.
Woke up Sunday morning with the request for French toast smashed it down.
Off for a quick bike ride with the lil one to explore the wetlands and the beautiful native animals.
Another jam session on the piano and then a walk with the dog and the lil to make up the rest of our hour that we're allowed out.
I know the weekend ain't over yet and I'm about to have another training session, play hide and seek and then get the kids into bed. But I hope you enjoyed my post.
My commitment if I win, I will keep the hive on the platform and power up and help grow other accounts.
Hope you had a great weekend!
