Good morning lions hope you're having a wonderful mid week morning it's Wednesday morning which means it's all down here from here on it. What a wonderful week it has been in the cryptoshphere and I'm pretty pumped on this downward cycle as I was able to pick up more Hive, Leo, CUB and cake. Leofinances Kingdoms has been smashing it and I'm forever thankful of it. Leo has taught me alot.
But today I want to bring to your attention some really big changes going on at Coinmarketcap.
What is Coinmarketcap?
Coinmarketcap is a crypto data aggregator which was purchased by Binance in early to mid 2020. It was one of the largest crytp acquisitions of the time with rumours the sale closed at around to $US400 million mark which was previously reported in The Block.
At the time of acquisition coinmarketcap attracted 207 million visitors within six months. Since binance's acquisition numbers have sky-rocketed with 270 visitors in just one month. The data can be seen Here
Advancements and developments
Now this is why I love LeoFinance and it's user base and actively support and follow people like @taskmaster4450le
@sgt-dan
@jgang003 and others. They recently brought to the communities attention that coinmarketcap had diamonds for collection. A reward for visiting the site each day, similar to coingeckos candies. At current both sites enable you to spend collected candies and diamonds on its gift store, coingecko having a few more items available than coinmarketcap due to it being around longer. Daily reminders are provided in the Leo Market Talk chat, in fact don't forget to head over and collect today's in a few minutes. All that is required is for you to create an account.
Coinmarketcap DEX
Coinmarketcap has now successfully implemented an exchange function which appears as a hovering swap icon on the desk top version. Clicking it gives you the above image with Uniswap being the only current exchange enabling you to trade Ethereum tokens. The drop down arrow also indicates that soon more DEX might be implemented and I really think this is a good opportunity to get CUBFinance onto it.
All that needs to be done is to connect your wallet to the exchange which can be done via metamask or trust wallet internal browser. You can read a bit more about the changes Here
I really want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who shared this information with the community which helps support everyone who engages which goes to prove it pays to be consistent and engage with the people you support. It's how we learn and get new relevant information.
Coinmarketcap changes are really important it looks like they will be hosting all exchanges in the one spot making it easy to purchase and trade the tokens you want rather than having to jump all over the place.
This is interoperability at its core, the tricky part will be wallet connections as what I've found is I've had to create new wallets for Matic, Ethereum, BNB which is probably a good thing as you don't want all your eggs in one basket incase they get cleaned out. But having everything in the one safe, secure location enables you to monitor your portfolio for when a few of those eggs beging to hatch.
Go collect you candies and diamonds, it's time.
