How are you? I hope everyone is fine. Today I want to share with you the Belgrad Forest, which I went to this summer. Belgrade forest is a very large forest in the north of Istanbul and there is a large lake in it. Although the size of the lake changes every time we go, it does not change much because it usually rains. The north of Istanbul is a very beautiful place. It makes me very happy that there are so many forests and natural beauties there. I hope they stay there forever.

Nasılsınız? Umarım herkes iyidir. Bugün sizinle bu bu yaz gittiğim Belgrad Ormanı' nı paylaşmak istiyorum. Belgrad ormanı İstanbul' un kuzeyinde çok büyük bir orman ve içinde de büyük bir göl var. Her gidişimizde gölün büyüklüğü değişse de genelde yağmur yağdığı için çok fazla değişmiyor. İstanbul' un kuzeyi çok güzel bir yer. Orada çok fazla orman ve doğal güzellikler olması beni çok mutlu ediyor. Umarım sonsuza kadar orada kalırlar.
In this part of the forest, people park their cars and either go for a barbecue or go for a walk. We went that day to hike and explore the forest. It was the third most beautiful forest I've ever been to. The first is the forests in Uludağ and the second is the forests in Bolu Yedigöller.
Ormanın bu kısmında insanlar arabalarını park ediyorlar ve ya mangala gidiyorlar ya da yürüyüşe gidiyorlar. Biz o gün yürüyüş yapmak ve ormanı keşfetmek için gitmiştik. Bugüne kadar gittiğim en güzel üçüncü ormandı orası. Birincisi Uludağ' daki ormanlar ikincisi de Bolu Yedigöller' deki ormanlar.
There is something like a big kind of bridge here. I remember seeing someone up there. And in the second photo there is a path. People can both walk on these paths and also walk on paths made for walking. I like them both very much. We walked on both roads.
Burada büyük bir tür köprü gibi bir şey var. Oranın üstünde birilerini gördüğümü hatırlıyorum. Ve ikinci fotoğrafta da bir patika var. İnsanlar hem bu patikalarda yürüyebiliyor hem de yürüyüş için yapılmış yollarda da yürüyebiliyorlar. Ben ikisini de çok severim. İki yolda da yürüdük.
The paths go deep into the forest and there are many beautiful trees there. But you need to be careful because there are wild animals there too. And if you encounter them, very bad things can happen.
Patikalar ormanın derinliklerine doğru gidiyor ve oralarda çok güzel ağaçlar var. Ama dikkat etmek gerekiyor çünkü orada vahşi hayvanlar da var. Ve onlarla karşılaşırsanız çok kötü şeyler olabilir.
There are such tables almost everywhere in the forest. You can sit there and have a picnic. We made and drank coffee at the barbecue area. We brought a small tube and French press with us. We heated water with a tube and made filter coffee. Filter coffee drunk in the forest is very delicious.

They placed this small building here in 1953. It has still been here for 70 years and is intact.
Bu küçük yapıyı da buraya 1953 yılında koymuşlar. 70 yıldır hala burada duruyor ve sağlam.
We saw this cute dog as we went towards the walking path in the forest. Dogs here do such things to make themselves loved and they are very sweet. I wish I had a dog as cute as this. It would be great to take a dog out for a walk twice a day, but my only fear is the other dogs around me.

The walking path starts here. The white things you see at the end of this road are fountains. You can drink water from those fountains. So we filled the bottles in our bags with water.

There are signs like these on the walking path of the forest. These signs say how many meters you walked. I think it says 1000 meters in front of this sign and 5000 meters behind it. This road in the forest is calculated as one outing and one return. That's why there are different numbers on both sides of the signs.
Ormanın yürüyüş yolunda böyle gördüğünüz gibi tabelalar var. Bu tabelalarda kaç metre yürüdüğünüz yazıyor. Bu tabelanın önünde 1000 metre yazıyor arkasında da 5000 metre yazıyor sanırım. Ormandaki bu yol bir gidiş bir de dönüş olarak hesaplanmış. O yüzden tabelaların iki tarafında farklı sayılar var.
As you can see here, there is information about a bird species. This bird species, called Picus Canus, is a woodpecker. And this is a woodpecker in the forest. I looked carefully a few times that day, but I couldn't see it.
Burada gördüğünüz gibi bir kuş türü ile ilgili bilgi yazıyor. Picus Canus denen bu kuş türü bir ağaçkakan. Ve bu ormandaki bir ağaçkakan. O gün dikkatlice baktım birkaç kere ama göremedim.
Since this forest is a forest that has been here for millions of years, sometimes some trees expire and die. This is one of those trees. I would like the tree population here to be plane trees. And olive trees. Because these two tree species can live even for 1000 years.

As you can see on this sign, the path we walked is approximately 2500 meters. It probably says 2500 or 3000 meters on the back of the sign. After this part of the road, the lake begins to appear slowly.

As I said before, after a part of the path we walked, the lake begins to appear. It's great to see the lake from the top. This lake is a long lake by the way, but its water is not very clean.

Finally we arrived at the lake and sat there for a while. As we sat down, we talked a little about our lives. We talked about what would happen if we lived in another city. Since I lived in Bursa last year, I thought that my life was not very good away from my family. And indeed it is. Being away from my family and friends is not good for me.

Ben Geçen sene Bursa' da yaşadığım için hayatımın ailemden uzak pek güzel olmadığını düşünürdüm. Ve gerçekten de öyle. Ailemden ve arkadaşlarımdan uzak olmak benim için pek iyi değil.
I think it was a little hard for me to realize how bad I felt being away from my family and friends, and in a bad way. But we need to look at the bright side and that is, I learned something during my time living alone in Bursa. Maybe I could never learn this and appreciate people. That's why I'm happy to live this way.
Ailemden ve arkadaşlarımdan uzak olunca ne kadar kötü hissettiğimi fark etmek benim için biraz zor ve kötü bir şekilde oldu bence. Ama iyi tarafından bakmak gerekiyor ki o da Bursa' da yalnız başıma yaşadığım süreçte bir şeyler öğrendim. Belki bunu hiçbir zaman öğrenmeyip insanların değerini bilemeyebilirdim. O yüzden bu şekilde yaşadığım için mutluyum.
We talked about these things that day, and I told my friend that I felt very lucky for being my friend for many years and for bringing me to this beautiful forest, and I thanked her. Giving thanks is a really important virtue.

As you can see, the water of the lake is not that clear. Since there are swamps and mud in some parts of this lake, the water is not very clean and clear. I also know that fish live in this lake. Because I remember sometimes seeing water bubbles in the lake. I think this has something to do with fish 🐟
Gölün suyu gördüğünüz gibi o kadar da berrak değil. bu gölün bazı yerlerinde bataklık ve çamur olduğu için su çok temiz ve berrak değil. ayrıca bu gölde balıklar da yaşıyor bunu biliyorum. While we were at the lake, the sun was slowly setting and its rays were reflecting on the trees. Isn't it great for taking photos?

In the further part of the lake, the water looks clearer and cleaner than the other parts. The water looks cleaner, probably because it's deeper here. Sitting near the lake was truly therapeutic. Very beautiful and very different.

This is what the lake looked like from afar as we were returning. The lake has a wonderful view. I hope this lake always remains this beautiful and big. In fact, I hope this lake grows much larger. There are already traces and signs of decreasing and receding water in some parts of the region. Perhaps this lake was much larger a few years ago.
Dönerken göl uzaktan böyle görünüyordu. Harika bir manzarası var gölün. Umarım bu göl hep böyle güzel ve büyük kalır. Hatta umarım çok daha fazla büyür bu göl. Zaten bölün bazı kısımlarında suların azaldığıyla ve çekildiğiyle ilgili izler ve işaretler var. Belki de bu göl birkaç yıl önce çok daha büyüktü.
