He loved her from a distance. Heath did not dare to come too close, he was afraid that the Snow Queen would melt. The ice girl attracted him more than everyone else. White hair with pink and blue strands, a skin of heavenly color, which overflows into the sun. Her eyes are purple-blue. He attracts everything in it. Everything. A figure, a smile and even sharp fangs and a rough and hoarse voice.
Sitting in the classroom, Heath, watched as the girl on a thin finger winds a white strand of her hair, sometimes quietly says something to her neighbor on the desk of Frankie. Abby did not like noisy companies, rarely understood jokes, missed the house. And, he liked when Abby laughs, but she rarely did it. He was not cold beside Abby, he was hot, and she moved away, referring to his habit of spontaneous combustion. She seemed to him sometimes, a little girl, and sometimes, a mature woman. And no matter how much he did not talk to her, he still could not understand who she really was.
Abby, in turn, did not like his presence. Inside, everything turned upside down. Closed, in my little world, in the cold and snow. And only he notices that ice and ice are broken on the ground and marble.
He wants to touch her, but he did not dare. Too afraid to upset the girl. He likes to joke, to flirt just like that. Only here, not with her. She likes him madly. He takes the roof off her rude manners, laughter, when she jokes, but it turns out not at all funny. And yet, when she tries to express something that does not know how to describe in English.
And now? Now her favorite Winter. Only here is something missing ... Her most. And, standing on the platform of the station, he will remember everything again.
She will remember the joyful smile when she sat down at the next table in the cafeteria. The ticket she showed the girls, screaming at the whole room: "I'm going home, north to the mountains." He was happy for her. I did not even think of feeling sorry for myself. If she is happy, she is happy, and he, although it hurts a little. Perhaps they will not see again.
Exhaling the steam, he watched the departing train take the Snow Queen with him.
Two years later...
Heath no longer flirts with the girls. Sophisticatedly studying for an interpreter to meet her again one day. Walking across the road, does not look around. He is studying a new book he just bought. Previously, he did not even think about that. And before her eyes again her image. He adjusted the silver frame of solid glasses, which slid to his nose, he added a step.
And after a boring lecture, everything is new, just the other way around. Through the dark streets I walked slowly, scribbling into every word. Rims the frame again. He will put his foot on the fence and tie a string. Answer the call, at the other end - Dews. And on the pedestrian crossing will add a step.
Only now, this evening was different.
Adding a step, he soon ran. Hardly squeezing through the crowd of people and monsters, who were returning home. And he convinces himself that this is nonsense, but continues to pursue the blond girl around which the snow falls. The skin, gently celestial, sparkles under the light of the streetlights that illuminate the street. He reached out his hand, catching the girl's wrist. Lilac eyes with an overflow of blue. A gentle smile. He recognizes her from a thousand.
As in the old days, she looks at him coldly, but she smiles. His touch is warm. She wants to feel his palm forever. Abby buried her forehead in his chest.
And passersby throw at them uncomprehending looks. Pass by. And only they stand so close, stand out from the gray. She is warm, he is cold for the first time. But it's good for both of them.
