The largest and unique bird on the planet is Ostrich. Large specimens of these birds can reach a height of about three meters and a weight of 150 kilograms. The uniqueness of birds is that they can not fly and have only two toes. To see this bird a person can only travel through Africa or visiting the zoo.
One day my family learned about the existence of a farm near our city, where they breed and contain ostriches. We immediately decided to visit this farm.
After a few kilometers we found ourselves on the territory of the farm, where behind the barriers there were houses resembling residential buildings and dozens of huge birds were walking around these houses. Everything reminded us that we were in Africa.
The only difference was that there were a lot of people around, mostly children. Then I remembered when I was a child, I looked forward to visiting the zoo or circus.
In addition to the excursion and bird watching, we visited a shop where we could buy huge beautiful ostrich feathers and feather souvenirs. Seeing the eggs of these birds, I thought that one such egg can feed the whole family. But we did not dare to buy eggs. We bought several feathers and the joyful ones returned home.
