Social media along with mainstream media has pretty much crafted this entire thing, along with the corrupt appointed health tsars of the world. I remember ridiculous Chinese fear-mongering videos circulating on facebook in the early days.

And then when your sheep friend whose dumber than a bag of hammers shares well-produced, catchy joke videos like these you know something STINKS of social manipulation. It's all being made possible because of our hopeless mental apathy, laziness, and addiction to entertainment, mindless social media, and smart phones - they really change us for the worse, and we can't put them down for a second.
