It's half a century ago and Jack Black is a warlock. Sounds cool, right? This is another movie based on a book, that people criticize for not being like the book. I didn't read it and I don't care. It's an enjoyable movie. Story, pacing, visuals all nice. Apart from a few mildly cringey kids jokes I can't think of anything wrong with it.
